Article: Guadalupe Cucarella and the standout work of the season

Guadalupe Cucarella y la labor estrella de la temporada

Guadalupe Cucarella and the standout work of the season

Today we are going to learn a little more about Guadalupe Cucarella, who has gone from knitting by watching YouTube tutorial videos to creating her own designs and teaching others how to make them from her own channel. With her way of knitting happiness, Guadalupe has managed to make her bag made with Rubí Macramé the star project of this summer.

*Where does your passion for knitting come from?

My passion for knitting comes from my childhood. My grandmother taught me how to use needles by doing simple tasks, but my true calling began about 6 years ago when I started watching YouTube tutorials and Italian colleagues encouraged me to start creating my designs. Little by little I began to design my bags, to make my own bases and flaps, and to carry out my work from my head, imagining how it would turn out by doing this and that. That's where I started with my own stitches. I love to create.

*How did you start making your own patterns and knitting your own projects?

Well, I started with the help of Italian colleagues who do wonders. Looking at their creations and with the help of some videos, my imagination did the rest; experimenting with leather or fabrics until I found materials that adapted to what I was looking for.

*What do you like most about knitting? What does it bring to your daily life?

What I like most is that it relaxes me a lot. It also gives me peace and a lot of excitement when I start a new project. It gives me life, I couldn't live without my needles and my yarns.

*What is your specialty? What projects are you best at?

My specialty is bags, although I also make other things like baskets, wallets, shawls, baby blankets, scarves, hats, and other little things. But I stick with my bags, they are what I am most passionate about.

*This original bag has become Lanas Rubí's summer project, what inspired you to create it?

Well, with this Rubí Macramé material, the bags are perfect and very light. I love working with Rubí Macramé. I wanted to make another bag for a celebration without it being a pochette, and its owner loved it.

*What do you like most about Lanas Rubí?

I like the lightness of the material and the softness of Rubí Macramé. I don't want any other for my bags now. Now, for the winter, I will try other yarns for scarves and hats, as I have seen that you have many beautiful yarns and a great variety of colors.

*Which of our qualities are your favorites and which are the easiest to knit?

So far I have only tried Rubí Macramé yarn and I love it, because for bags it is ideal due to its solidity, lightness and the shine it gives to my bags. I love them and now I will make them for autumn and winter. They look great. Thanks Rubí.
