Ruby Bubble Case

MATERIALS

To make the case we have used:

– 1 Rubí Bubble Multicolor: color 016.
– 1 Rubí Bubble: color 004.
– 1 Rubí Amigurumi: color 100.
– 1 Rubí Amigurumi: color 900.
– Crochet hooks: 4 mm for Bubble yarns and 3 mm for Amigurumi yarns.
– 1 tapestry needle.
– 1 plastic zipper with large pulls.
– Fiberfill.

ABBREVIATIONS

sc = single crochet.
inc = increase.
dec = decrease.
**rep = repeat what is between asterisks.

PATTERN

BODY

We need to crochet a rectangle, for this:
1.- Chain 30 stitches.
2.- Make a turning chain and go back, crocheting 30 sc over the foundation chain.
3.- Turn your work, make another turning chain and crochet 30 sc.
Repeat the last step until you have a total of 36 rows.

MOUTH CORNERS

1.- Make a turning chain at the end of row 36 and crochet 2 sc.
2.- Turn your work and again make a turning chain and another 2 sc.
Repeat this last step until you have a total of 4 rows.
The last row must be sewn to the base of the rectangle to form the body cylinder.
Repeat the same on the other side of row 36 and sew it to its corresponding part of the rectangle's base.

MOUTH AND TEETH

Once the previous part is finished, we will have a cylinder with the mouth opening for the zipper, which will simulate the monster's teeth. Sew the zipper into the opening.

SIDES

We will make two circles of 7 rounds:
1: 6sc in a magic ring (6).
2: 6inc (12).
3: *1inc, 1sc* rep (18).
4: *1inc, 2sc* rep (24).
5: *1inc, 3sc* rep (30)
6: *1inc, 4sc* rep (36)
7: *1inc, 5sc* rep (42)
At the end of the last round, leave enough yarn to use later for sewing to the body.

EYES

With white color we will make the pupil:
1: 6sc in a magic ring (6).
2: 6inc (12).
3: *1inc, 1sc* rep (18).
4: *1inc, 2sc* rep (24).
5: *1inc, 3sc* rep (30)
At the end of the last round, leave enough yarn to use later for sewing to the body.

And with black color the iris:
1: 6sc in a magic ring (6).
2: 6inc (12).
When finished, sew it to the pupil before sewing it to the body.

When sewing the eyes, don't forget to give a funny expression to your monster's face.

HORNS

Make two horns of 8 rounds:
1: 5sc in a magic ring (5).
2: 1inc, 4sc (6).
3: 1sc, 1inc, 4sc (7).
4: 1sc, 2inc, 2sc, 1dec (8).
5: 2sc, 1inc, 5sc (9).
6: 2sc, 2inc, 3sc, 1dec (10).
7: 3sc, 1inc, 6sc (11).
8: 3sc, 2inc, 4sc, 1dec (12).
At the end of the last round, leave enough yarn to use later for sewing to the body.

Stuff the horns with fiberfill before sewing them to the body.
