Striped cushion cover

MATERIALS

To knit the striped cushion cover, we will use Rubí Nogal yarn in colors S005 (2 skeins), S008 (1 skein), and S0009 (2 skeins); knitting needles No. 4 and a tapestry needle.

For measurements of 40x40 cm

Cast on 65 sts and in garter stitch, make a square of 37 cm (this is one skein). Cast off all sts, fold it and sew the sides. With this piece, cover half of the cushion by sewing all around.

The next step will be to start the outer part. Cast on 65 sts, make 2 rows of garter stitch, and then stockinette stitch until you reach the stripes, which will be 4 rows of each color in garter stitch. These stripes or bands are made at 10 cm from the beginning, after them, continue with stockinette stitch and at 10 cm, make the stripes again, just like the previous ones. The next section of stockinette stitch is 22 cm. The rest will consist of repeating the above until you reach the 2 rows of garter stitch and cast off all sts.

Fold the work and sew the sides. Then, insert the cushion with the covered side facing out (so it is visible as a decoration as shown in the photo). Make a row of single crochet around the open part of the striped cushion cover and make 4 chain cords to tie (see finish in the image above).
