MATERIALS

To make the knitted overalls, we will use Rubí Natural Batik (VHA05) color 01 (4 balls), color 015 (1 ball), 2 wooden buttons, 11 small buttons, size 2 knitting needles, and a tapestry needle.

PATTERN

Size 6-8 months

Front

Cast on 26 sts and knit 6 rows in garter stitch with color 015. Change to color 01, increasing 6 sts evenly across the row, and knit 19 cm, during this section, increase 9 sts one by one, distributed (approximately every 2 cm). Reserve this piece and make another identical one, which you will join to the previous one by increasing 10 sts in between the two. Continue and at 12 cm from the crotch, begin 1 decrease on each side, 5 times, separated by 2 cm.

At 24 cm from the crotch, begin the armhole by decreasing on each side and every row: 6 sts, 5 sts, 2 sts, 2 sts, 1 st, 1 st, 1 st, 1 st. Then continue straight.

At 30 cm (always from the same point), make the neckline. First, cast off the 8 central sts, then 4 sts, 3 sts, 2 sts, 1 st, 1 st, 1 st, and with the remaining sts, knit 6 cm for the strap.

Finish the other side in the same way, but in reverse.

Back

Cast on 24 sts. Knit 6 rows in the same color as the front, then change color and increase 4 sts evenly across the row. The length is made the same as the front, including the 10 joining sts. When you reach the decreases before the armhole, here you will make 3 instead of 5, as you did on the front.

At the same height, for the armhole, decrease 6 sts, 5 sts, 2 sts, 2 sts, 1 st, 1 st, 1 st.

The neckline shaping is done at 36 cm. Cast off 9 central sts, then 5 sts, 5 sts, 2 sts, and then continue with the remaining sts for 10 cm for the strap.

Along the inside of both legs, pick up the necessary sts to knit 6 rows in garter stitch. On one side, make the buttonholes, and on the other, sew on the buttons. Make another similar trim in the armhole and neckline openings. Before making the armhole, sew the side seam.

For the pockets, cast on 23 sts. First, knit the blue edge and then switch to cotton until it measures a total of 7 cm.
