HOW TO KNIT THE PATTERN?
STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch: On right-side rows, all stitches are knitted; on wrong-side rows, all stitches are purled.
1x1 Rib stitch: knit 1 stitch, purl 1 stitch, repeating the sequence throughout the right-side row. On the wrong-side row, knit the stitches as they appear.

STEP BY STEP
FRONT
With color 016, cast on 96 sts and knit 4 rows in 1x1 rib stitch.
Change to color 015 and begin knitting in stockinette stitch. We will alternate colors (color 016 and color 015) every 4 rows. Knit in this manner for approximately 32cm measured from the bottom edge of the dress (ribbing plus 24 color stripes).
On the next right-side row, decrease 30 sts across the entire row: knit 3 sts, (knit 1 st, k2tog) x 30 times, knit 3 sts. 66 sts will remain.
On the next right-side row, change to color 005 and continue knitting in stockinette stitch for 8 rows.
Begin shaping the armholes. On the next right-side row, bind off 3 sts at the beginning of the row and knit all stitches to the end. At the beginning of the wrong-side row, bind off 3 sts and purl all stitches to the end. At the beginning of the right-side row, bind off 2 sts and knit all stitches to the end. At the beginning of the wrong-side row, bind off 2 sts and purl all stitches to the end. 56 sts will remain.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch for approximately 14cm measured from the waist.
Begin shaping the neckline. On the next right-side row, knit 24 sts, bind off the central 8 sts, and knit 24 sts. We will continue knitting the right side of the neckline (transfer the left side to a stitch holder). On the next wrong-side row, purl all stitches. On the right-side row, bind off 4 sts at the beginning of the row and knit 20 sts. On the wrong-side row, purl all stitches. On the right-side row, bind off 3 sts at the beginning of the row and knit 17 sts. On the wrong-side row, purl all stitches. On the right-side row, bind off 1 st at the beginning of the row and knit 16 sts. On the wrong-side row, purl all stitches.
Continue knitting the right side of the front in stockinette stitch for 6 rows.
Begin shaping the right shoulder. On the next wrong-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and continue purling to the end of the row. On the right-side row, knit 11 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and continue purling to the end of the row. On the right-side row, knit 6 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off the remaining 6 sts.
Resume knitting the left side of the neckline. We are on a wrong-side row, so we purl all stitches. On the next right-side row, we knit all stitches. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch for 7cm measured from the waist.
On the next right-side row, knit 26 sts, bind off the central 2 sts, and knit 26 sts. We will continue knitting the left side of the back (transfer the right side to a stitch holder).
Knit in stockinette stitch for 10cm.
Next, we will shape the neckline and left shoulder. On the next right-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and continue knitting 21 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and continue purling 16 sts. On the right-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and knit 11 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and purl 6 sts. On the right-side row, bind off 1 st at the beginning of the row and knit 5 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off the 5 sts.
Resume knitting the right side of the back. Knit in stockinette stitch for 10cm.
Next, we will shape the neckline and right shoulder. On the next right-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and continue knitting 21 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and continue purling 16 sts. On the right-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and knit 11 sts. On the wrong-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and purl 6 sts. On the right-side row, bind off 5 sts at the beginning of the row and knit 1 st. On the wrong-side row, bind off 1 st.
SLEEVES
With color 016, cast on 52 sts and knit 4 rows in 1x1 rib stitch.
Change to color 015 and begin knitting in stockinette stitch. We will alternate colors (color 016 and color 015) every 4 rows.
After knitting the ribbing and two color stripes, begin shaping the sleeve cap. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch, alternating colors every 4 rows, while decreasing on each side of the garment to shape the top of the sleeve.
To do this, bind off 1 st at the beginning of each right-side row and at the beginning of each wrong-side row 8 times (i.e., on 8 right-side rows and 8 wrong-side rows). 36 sts will remain.
Next, bind off 3 sts at the beginning of each right-side row and each wrong-side row, 2 times (i.e., on 2 right-side rows and 2 wrong-side rows). 24 sts will remain.
Bind off 4 sts at the beginning of the next right-side row and the next wrong-side row. 16 sts will remain.
On the next right-side row, bind off all stitches.
Knit the second sleeve in the same way.
FINISHING
Pick up stitches along the back opening on the left side, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 4 rows, and then bind off all stitches. Pick up stitches along the back opening on the right side, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 2 rows, knit 4 buttonholes every 2cm, knit 2 more rows in 1x1 rib stitch, and then bind off all stitches.
Buttonholes are worked as follows: k2tog, yarn over.
Sew the front and back at the shoulders. Pick up all stitches around the neckline, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 3 rows, and then bind off all stitches.
Sew the side seams of the dress, ensuring that the color stripes of the front and back align.
Sew the sleeves, adapting them to the armhole openings.
Sew on the buttons, weave in ends, and block the garment.
