When and how did the idea of creating your networks and platforms to share your work come about?
After years of working in HR training, a long illness kept me at home for a long time. Meanwhile, I was doing different types of crafts, which I enjoyed, but I missed interacting with people. So, starting to communicate on social media was a way to continue teaching and to have that connection with people.
What do you like most about being a designer?
That a large part of the ideas in my head become something tangible and come true. They don't just remain thoughts.
What inspires you when creating new products?
Everything around me, especially when I travel, I really like to observe the architecture, the different textures and colors. Walks in nature give me a lot of sensations that later translate into objects. And for some time now, I've noticed that I observe people more; their way of moving makes me like to design from a practical yet aesthetic perspective.
What is your next challenge?
I'm starting to train in the world of basketry and my challenge is to merge it with materials like wool and cotton. And to be able to teach workshops on that technique.
An anecdote?
During autumn and winter, I teach workshops with XXL wool, and the house fills with colored lint on the floor and in the air. Because of this, my husband wrote me a story titled "The House of Lint," in which I am the protagonist.
