How did Pearl Knitter come about?
In 2014, my mother, Asunción, and I joined forces to do what we do best together: she knits, and I create and share knowledge.
How has the brand evolved?
From the beginning, our goal has been educational: to combine design and technique so that knitters can be as autonomous as possible. And over time, we have refined everything to get better results.
The best moment?
When we discovered the community that followed us after the "1 week 1 stitch" activity. Those weekly tutorials were the trigger for our current online courses, in which we offer how to adapt each pattern to different sizes through our personalized advice.
And the next challenge?
We are going to design a fashion collection. These will be knit garments made for pure pleasure, in which we will give free rein to our imagination and show everything we can do, without limitations. Afterwards, we will have to find a sales channel, but for now, it's not something that worries us.
Your anecdote...
The most curious thing that has happened to us is that people come from other cities to meet us or stop us on the street to say hello. Bonds are created, even leading to true friendships among my followers.
What would you highlight about your experience as teachers in workshops at creative haberdasheries?
In-person classes are only 10% of our activity, but they give us the opportunity to let loose, meet our followers... It's something we appreciate.
