When and how did the idea of creating your space on social media come about?

It was two years ago, a result of a wonderful summer.

As long as I can remember, I’ve had a crochet hook in my hands. It has always been my way to relax after a day of exams, and later, my way to disconnect from a stressful job.

That summer, it became clear to me. I had the opportunity to leave everything behind, "throw caution to the wind," think about my family and what I really wanted. So I took a step forward and swapped my computer for crochet.

With a simple camera, I made my first post. Ugh! Now what?…

Within a year, I opened my website with some timid dolls. Little by little, I added more pieces, until a couple of months ago, I incorporated patterns, which I love because they allow me to see how they transform with different colors, textures, and even sizes when different people knit them – it's incredible!

What do you like most about dedicating yourself to design?

When you design something, you can bring your imagination to life.

From the moment you dream it, the process is quite long. It goes from an idea to a sketch and then to the yarn, slowly taking shape, growing, changing, knitting and unraveling, until suddenly, there it is! This was it!

Along the way, you laugh, you rack your brain, you get angry, you can't sleep. A lot of emotions invade you, and when you finish, you feel the need to start again, because there are so many ideas left to create.

What I like most about design is designing ?

What inspires you when creating new products?

Inspiration is whimsical.

Sometimes it's in nature, in a movie, in a book, a song, the wind, a smile... I try to look for it in my surroundings, I pay attention and, sometimes, I find it.

What is your next challenge?

The most important one is always the same: to make someone enjoy what I do.

I try to stay up-to-date and study new techniques. Right now, I'm in my second year of design and bobbin lace at EMAO (Municipal School of Arts and Crafts in Vigo). Contemporary art with lace – those are big words for me. It fascinates me.

Plus, there are some little culprits who led me to the "dark side" and keep me very entertained with circular needles, because I confess, when it comes to knitting with two needles, I'm a complete novice, very much so.

An anecdote?

When I started, I saw incredible accounts with a lot of followers, and I was small, so I thought that maybe someday this fantastic world of amigurumis that I try to reflect in my photos would cross borders. At home, we took a map and started marking all the places where the accounts that were joining came from, virtually traveling to each one of them.

When we saw the mark on all five continents, the joy was immense; I couldn't believe it. Who would have thought I'd be talking to people from such distant parts of the world, from such different cultures, that a yarn doll would connect us!.

Recently, I tested for a creator from Kuwait and a little later for a new friend in Illinois OMG!
