When and how did the idea of creating your own blog come about?
The idea came about when I got pregnant with my eldest son 9 years ago because I wanted to be able to connect with people who were as passionate about the handmade world as I was, and at that time, I was considered the odd one out at gatherings.
How has it evolved since you started the project?
My project has evolved a lot. From making patterns by other designers for my children or relatives, I have been training and continue to do so. And today, from a drawing by my son, I can bring that character to life.
What do you like most about dedicating yourself professionally to the design and creation of amigurumis?
What I like most is that you can unleash all the creativity we have, and it never goes away. It seems that as children we are more creative, but that's not true. One of my favorite quotes from Albert Einstein is "Creativity is intelligence having fun," and that's what I like most about the process: having fun and slowly seeing how a sketch, some notes, come to life.
What inspires you when creating or designing new patterns?
I really like the world of Beatrix Potter, which is why my main character is Sophie, a rabbit, and in general, the whole fantasy world of old Disney movies and the many good illustrators we have. I love buying illustrated stories and getting ideas for my characters, or simply my children draw something for me or tell me they want a cat with a striped t-shirt and jeans, and from there, the threads come to life.
What's your next challenge?
To continue training and learning every day, but above all, to train myself to be able to create projects with two needles and launch a textile collection of accessories for knitters in general, and many other things. I love being able to share my experiences with everyone.
An anecdote...
I love bags, and when I was little, I used to make them with plastic bags and yarn, lol.
