PATTERN

Back

Cast on 72 sts and work 56 rows in garter st. Dec 1 st at each side. Continue until armhole (110 rows from the beginning).

Armhole

Dec 3 sts at the beginning and in the following rows dec 2 sts-1 st-1 st on both sides. At 58 rows, shape the shoulder by binding off 6 sts-6 sts-6 sts on each side. At the same time, shape the neck by binding off 11 central sts-4 sts-1 st.

Right front

Cast on 48 sts and work in garter st. At 48 rows, dec 1 st on the right side. The center edge always remains straight.

Pocket

In row 79, work 14 sts, bind off 19 sts consecutively, and continue to the end of the row. In the next row (80), dec 1 st and continue until reaching the gap of the previously bound off sts and inc 19 sts at once that were bound off in the previous row and continue to the end of the row.

Buttonhole

The buttonhole is made on the straight part. At 100 rows, work 8 sts, bind off 2 sts, which will be increased in this gap in the next row. On the opposite side, in row 108, dec 1 st and continue until the armhole, which will be at row 130.

Armhole

Dec 3 sts first, then 2 sts-1 st-1 st, continue for 42 more rows to begin the neck shaping (lapel). Bind off 10 sts at once, then in each row 1 st-2 sts-2 sts-2 sts-2 sts. Then shape the shoulder, at the same height as the back.

Sleeve

Cast on 44 sts and work 108 rows (approx. 32 cm). Along the sleeve, inc 5 sts on each side, evenly distributed.

Sleeve cap

Dec on both sides, first 2 sts and then 12 sts (1 by 1), then 2 sts-3 sts-4 sts and bind off the remaining stitches.

Lapel collar

To make the back part of the lapel, sew the shoulders and pick up the necessary sts from the 10 sts bound off on both sides. Work 24 rows and bind off all sts. 

Pockets

On the bottom part of the pocket opening, pick up 19 sts, work 6 rows, and bind off all sts. Finish the ends and sew the lining.

Left front

Work the same as the right front in reverse and without a buttonhole.

Finishing

Sew the sides, the sleeve seams, and attach them to the body openings. Sew on the button.
