To make the crochet espadrilles, we will use 2 balls of Rubí Macramé color 107; 1 pair of esparto soles; 1 tapestry needle; 1 crochet hook size 3, 12 plastic rings of 1 cm diameter; embellishments to finish the laces; matching sewing thread and needle.
Choose your favorite color through our online store.
St. = stitch
Sts. = stitches
Sl st. = slip stitch
Rnd. = round

With a tapestry needle and a strand of Rubí Macramé, make a blanket stitch along the top edge of the sole (100 sts.) all around.
Then, make 1 sl st. in each blanket stitch.
With the crochet hook and using sl st., make 2 rnds. in the 20 central sts. of the toe. Then continue all around with the same stitch, making a total of 7 more rnds.
Through the instep opening at the front, pass a thread and tighten it slightly.
Using sl st., pass through the entire circle (15 or 16 sts.) and finish by making a knot with the starting tail.
In the instep opening that we previously tightened, sew the rings. It is best to use sewing thread (see photo).
For the remaining part without rings (58 sts.), make 3 more rnds., and for the first 5 sts. and the last 5 sts., make 4 more rnds.
Weave in the loose ends by taking a few stitches with sewing thread. Make two cords, each with 2 strands and 23 cm long. Put an embellishment on one end and sew the other end to the espadrille.
