We can't bring you the moon, but we're going to put the sun in your hands. We're celebrating that summer is almost here with this adorable amigurumi from Cucapuntoes. Get to work and make one for yourself!

MATERIALS

*1 skein of natural cotton no. 7
*1 skein of natural cotton no. 25
*A small piece of black natural cotton and another of white for the eyes
*Synthetic cotton for stuffing
*A 2.5 crochet hook (the size of the hook should adjust to each person's tension when working, so I recommend making a small swatch before starting the project; it should not be too loose or excessively tight)
*A stitch marker, to indicate the beginning of each round
*A tapestry needle
*A pair of scissors

-ASSEMBLY-

First, we will make the face. To do this, we will sew the nose in the center of the front circle, stuffing it slightly and leaving the finishing thread on the inside.
Place the eyes next to the nose, leaving one stitch of separation between them, and hide the excess threads on the inside. Once sewn, place the eyelids over them and sew them on as well.
Join the back loop of the single crochets from the last round of the front circle with both loops of the stitches from the back part of the piece. Before closing completely and losing the thread, stuff it.
Stuff the rays, bring their openings (front with back) together and close with single crochets, taking one stitch from each side at a time. Once all are closed, join them one by one, without separation, to the central piece, using the tapestry needle and following the round immediately before the orange fan stitches that surround the face.
