PATTERN
TREE
R1.- In a magic ring, work 6sc (6)
R2.- 1inc in each sc until the end of the round (12)
R3.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (12)
R4.- 1sc, 1inc until the end of the round (18)
R5.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (18)
R6.- 2sc, 1inc until the end of the round (24)
R7.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (24)
R8.- 3sc, 1inc until the end of the round (30)
R9.- 4sc, 1inc until the end of the round (36)
R10.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (36)
R11.- 5sc, 1inc until the end of the round (42)
Here we can stuff the tip of the tree a little to give it consistency and the desired shape (it's worth mentioning that with Rubí Fiesta yarn, you might not need to use stuffing since its texture helps the piece stay firm, and a little shaping will make it look beautiful). However, it's good to use stuffing at the tip if we're using the cone, as it helps the stuffing hold the cone (meaning it won't sink to the bottom) and makes the tree taller and even firmer.
The next 2 rounds (R12-R13) will be worked using only the back loop.
R12.- 5sc, 1dec until the end of the round (36)
R13.- 4sc, 1dec until the end of the round (30)
The next 2 rounds (R14-R15) will be worked using only the front loop.
R14.- 4sc, 1inc until the end of the round (36)
R15.- 5sc, 1inc until the end of the round (42)
From here, we continue using both loops.
R16.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (42)
R17.- 6sc, 1inc until the end of the round (48)
R18.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (48)
R19.- 7sc, 1inc until the end of the round (54)
R20.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (54)
R21.- 8sc, 1inc until the end of the round (60)
At this point, if you wish, you can use stuffing to give the tree more firmness. Remember that if you are using the cone, you must place the cone inside before stuffing so as not to put in more stuffing than necessary.
The next 3 rounds (R22-R23-R24) will be worked using only the back loop.
R22.- 8sc, 1dec until the end of the round (54)
R23.- 7sc, 1dec until the end of the round (48)
R24.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (48)
The next 2 rounds (R25-R26) will be worked using only the front loop.
R25.- 7sc, 1inc until the end of the round (54)
R26.- 8sc, 1inc until the end of the round (60)
From here, we continue using both loops.
R27.- 9sc, 1inc until the end of the round (66)
R28.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (66)
R29.- 10sc, 1inc until the end of the round (72)
R30.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (72)
R31.- 11sc, 1inc until the end of the round (78)
R32 – R33.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (78)
At this point, if you wish, you can use stuffing to give the tree more firmness. The following rounds until the end will be worked using only the back loop.
R34.- 11sc, 1dec until the end of the round (72)
R35.- 10sc, 1dec until the end of the round (66)
R36.- 9sc, 1dec until the end of the round (60)
R37.- 8sc, 1dec until the end of the round (54)
R38.- 7sc, 1dec until the end of the round (48)
R39.- 6sc, 1dec until the end of the round (42)
OPTIONAL
We can close (without cutting the yarn) and begin to wrap the cone, gluing it with liquid silicone or a hot glue gun, to cover it with the yarn we used for the tree to make it even prettier. Or, we can cover the cone with another color of yarn that we like, or even paint it, always to our taste and possibilities.
THE DECORATION
You can make crochet pieces to decorate it that can be fixed or not! And you can even put ornaments you have around the house, as its firmness and size allow you to do whatever you want. Your imagination and taste rule.
CHRISTMAS BAUBLES
R1.- In a magic ring, work 8sc (8)
R2.- 1inc in each sc until the end of the round (16)
R3.- 1sc in each sc until the end of the round (16)
R4.- 1dec until the end of the round (8)
R5.- 1dec until the end of the round (4)
Close with an sc and leave a long tail if we want to glue it, or cut and hide the yarn if it won't be fixed (it can be hung on the tree with pearl-headed pins and looks really beautiful).
CHRISTMAS GARLAND
R1.- Make approximately 200 chains (you can make more if you wish)
R2.- 1sc in each chain until the end
R3.- 1inc in each sc until the end
R4.- 1sc, 1inc until the end
Cut, hide the yarn, and ready to decorate.
CHRISTMAS STAR
R1.- In a magic ring, work 15 double crochet stitches, join (do not work in a spiral)
R2.- Chain 5 + 1 and turn to work on the fifth chain 1sc, 2hdc, 2dc and join to the round in the third double crochet stitch.
R3-R6.- Repeat R2 five times until you have the 5 points of the star.
Close and leave a long tail that will be used to tie it to a pipe cleaner, which we will use to attach the star to the top of the tree.
