Crown Flowers Queen Headboard
Bedding, cushions, curtains… And that blank canvas behind your bed? Today, with the help of Anuskayhome, we are going to play with that space.
The headboard is the central piece of the bedroom; it provides unity and consonance to the rest of the room, and it can completely change the ambiance! This is what we achieve with the Crown Flowers Queen Headboard, a special, trendy piece with character, woven from authentic jute. Natural fibers, handmade accessories, and the characteristic shapes and colors of our planet are some of the key elements that will accompany us this 2022, and this work will undoubtedly be a true success.
Shall we start?
MATERIALS
7 balls Rubí Nómada col. 002
4 balls Rubí Nómada col. 001
Crochet hook size 5 or 6 depending on tension
HOW TO CROCHET THE PATTERN?
CLARIFICATIONS
The tension should be medium; do not crochet too tight or too loose. Rubí Nómada is naturally a material that has body.
This pattern is divided into nine parts.
We start by crocheting the fan from which this piece begins.
We can make the pieces and then join them according to the pattern, or follow the pattern and do it in parts.
The finished headboard piece can be blocked completely, or you can block the different pieces as you go: Submerge the grannies in warm water and block them by the tip of the petals.
Let dry.
Now we have our circles to continue working.
Once the piece is finished, the best way to hang it on the wall is to attach easy hangers from one end and hook the piece in a semicircle shape.
MEASUREMENTS
This headboard in these measurements is suitable for a bed 150/160/180 cm wide.
The height is approximately 125 cm, always depending on the tension when crocheting.

When you reach the large petal circle, crochet one stitch for each stitch, just like those of the previous round, and continue by chaining 12 stitches between each peak, joining them with a slip stitch, until you reach the join of the second and third petal circles.
Next round.
Continue crocheting one single crochet per stitch until you reach the beginning of the previous round (where we made the chain arches), but at the joins, we will make a slip stitch and crochet three single crochets over the three chains.
When you reach the first arch of stitches, crochet 12 double crochets inside, chain 3, and 12 double crochets.
A slip stitch at the join, next arch, same (12 dc, 3 ch, and 12 dc).
And thus we finish this pattern.
Note: when the idea arose to make a headboard as the final piece for the Sun flowers collection, I imagined a piece that would be the final flourish, and the crown of the band Queen, which we are fans of at home, was the inspiration, hence its name.
