FINAL RESULT

ABBREVIATIONS
Ø = Magic ring
Sc = Single crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Ch = Chain stitch
*…*= repeat until end
This advent calendar consists of 24 rectangular pieces that will be the pockets.
A main piece in the shape of a Christmas tree, a star for decoration, and felt numbers.
PATTERN
POCKETS
We will start with the red color. We will need to chain 12 stitches and three more to give height to the first stitch. From the chains, we will make 5 rows of 12 double crochet and a last row of 12 double crochet in white.
TREE
In green, we will chain 108 stitches. In rows 1 and 2, we will make 108 double crochet. (Always turning the work)
From row 3 to 30, we will make three chain stitches to go up and skip the first stitch. The rest of the row will always be double crochet. The same for all rows from 3 to 30.
From row 31 to row 66, we will make three chain stitches to go up, skip the first stitch of the row and the second to last, the rest will always be double crochet (in this way, from row 31 we will decrease 2 stitches in each row, one at the beginning and one at the end).
STAR
We start from the center of the star.
Round 1.- Ø 6sc (6)
Round 2.- 1inc x6 (12)
Round 3.- *1sc, 1inc* (18)
Round 4.- *2sc, 1inc* (24)
Round 5.- *3sc, 1inc* (30)
Now we will continue with the points.
Round 1.- 6sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 2.- 6sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 3.- 1sc, skip one stitch, 2sc, skip one stitch, 1sc, turn work
Round 4.- 4sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 5.- 1sc, skip one stitch, 2sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 6.- 3sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 7.- 1sc, skip one stitch, 1sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 8.- 2sc, 1ch, turn work
Round 9.- skip the first stitch, 1sc. (Fasten off and point finished).
Repeat rounds 1 to 9 of the point, 4 more times until you have 5 identical points.
Once you have all the points, you must make a round all around the edge in single crochet. With the piece of felt, cut out some numbers to decorate, and we have our advent calendar ready. Now all that's left is to fill the pockets with small surprises for the little ones in the house.
SUGGESTION
When hanging, if it doesn't hang straight from the bottom, it might be a good idea to put a rod or something rigid to prevent it from bending.
