Size 6 needles + 40 cm cable (including needles)
1 stitch marker: use the marker between the first and last stitch knitted, move it up and insert it at the end of each round to always know where you are.

ABBREVIATIONS
R: row/round.
K: Knit stitch.
P: Purl stitch.
P2tog: Purl X stitches together.
*_*: Place 1 stitch on cable needle and hold in front of work. Towards you.
•_•: Place 1 stitch on cable needle and hold in back of work. Away from you.
/…/: Continue knitting, repeating the previous steps until the end of the round, which is always indicated. Ch: chain
PATTERN
Cast on 56 stitches. We need a multiple of 8 stitches.
R1, R2, and R3: K2/P2/K2/P2/…/K2/P2
R4: •Sl 1 st to cn, K1, K st from cn• /P2/
*Sl 1 st to cn, K1, K st from cn*/P2/•_• /
P2/*_*/…/•_•/P2/*¬_*/P2
In row 4, we will alternate 2 ways of picking up stitches on the cable needle. Notice in the abbreviations that when it is indicated between dots, the needle is held towards you, and when it is between asterisks, it is held away, that way you can make the crosses.
