MATERIALS
3 skeins of Rubí Urdimbre
Crochet hook size 6 (medium tension work)
10 / 12 cm hoop
30 / 32 cm hoop
This lamp is crocheted around the hoops, and its shape reminds us of old crystal lamps with a crest-like shape, hence its name.
PATTERN
Round 1
Using a 6mm hook, crochet 40 sc around the small 10/12 cm hoop.
Round 2 to Round 3 inclusive
40 sc, only through the back loop
Now, turn the work inside out around the hoop so that the inside of the rounds faces outwards.
This knot effect will now be the main part of our work.

Round 4
Where we finished the stitch of the last round, insert the hook and crochet 31 ch.
Now, wrap the yarn around the large hoop and join the chain strip there with a slip stitch.
Round 5
Crochet another 31 ch.
When finished, bring up that strip of chain stitches and join it to the next single crochet following the first strip of chain stitches with a slip stitch."
From there, repeat rounds 4 and 5 until you have crocheted 40 strips of chain stitches, joined to the small hoop and the large hoop by the chain stitch strips.
Round 6
Where we finished the last slip stitch, we crochet the following sequence:
*13 chain stitches, skip 8 chain stitch strips and join with a slip stitch...* continue this way until you go all the way around, close with a slip stitch.

Round 7
Now we crochet *14 single crochets around the chain arch, and when we reach the join of the arches, we crochet one single crochet joining the arches*, and we continue crocheting the sequence until we go all the way around.
(Single crochets around the arch)

(Single crochet joining the arches)
Cut the yarn and hide the excess.
5 arches have been formed.
New arches have been created.
Round 8
Now in the middle of an arch *we crochet a single crochet and 20 chain stitches. We join with a slip stitch and a chain stitch in the middle of the next chain arch.*
This sequence continues until the end of the round. 5 arches will have been created.
Round 9
Fold the created arch in half.
Cut a 30 cm piece of yarn and tie it around to gather the arch, creating a circle. Cut the yarn and secure it.
Do the same with the next arches.
Round 10
Now we do the same at the junction of the first arches.
Cut about 30 cm of yarn and tie it around to gather the arch, cut the yarn and secure it.
Cut the yarn and hide the remaining end.
Round 11
Now insert the hook into one of the created circles and crochet 10 chain stitches.
And join to the large hoop with a slip stitch, cut the yarn and secure it.
Do the same for this last round at the rest of the joins.
Round 11
Hook into the large hoop next to the last cord created and make a slip stitch.
Crochet 3 sc, skip the cord, and crochet another 3 sc, continue this way until the end of the round.
*3 sc between each cord*
Round 12
When finished, join with a slip stitch, turn the hook, and now crochet as if going backwards.
One single crochet for each stitch of the previous round.
Round 13, Round 14, and Round 15.
One single crochet for each stitch of the previous round, closing each round with a slip stitch.

Round 16
Where we finished the last round, make 30 chain stitches, remove the hook, leave a 50 cm tail, cut and pull the yarn through the last stitch so that the cord does not unravel.

Now we go back to the beginning of the cord and repeat the same sequence in the next stitch.
Continue until you have as many chain stitch cords as there are stitches in our crocheted part on the large hoop.
In our case, 72 cords.
*30 chain stitches, remove the hook, leave a 40 cm tail, cut and pull the yarn through the last stitch so that the cord does not unravel*
Round 17
Take yarn and insert the hook, making a slip stitch at the beginning of the first cord of the previous round.
Crochet 16 chain stitches in the air and join with a slip stitch, leaving 8 cords free, continuing this way all around. 9 arches will have been created.
Finish the round with a slip stitch.
Round 18
Now turn the work so that the arches face downwards and crochet 16 single crochets around all 9 arches.

Between each arch, crochet a slip stitch and move to the next arch.
When finished, cut the yarn and secure it.
Round 19
Now take a piece of yarn about 20 cm long and tie it around the joins of the nine arches, then hide the yarn end.
Round 20
Bring the formed arches together to make a loop and proceed as in the previous round.
Cut pieces of yarn about 20 cm long, pass them around and hide the ends, repeating this for all arches.

Round 21
Cut 4 strips of 1.30 m and tie them to the small hoop by inserting them inside.
Round 22
Cut 4 strips of one meter and tie them to the small hoop, leaving them on the outside; these strips will serve to hang the lamp.
Round 23
Now gather all the hanging strips at the end and tie them together.
Untie the knotted strips, comb them out, and cut them to the same height, or you can leave them untied.
