MENORQUINAS PATTERN
Sole Preparation Size 35-37 (Size 38-40) Using a pin and tape measure, mark the toe of the espadrille sole. This mark will serve as a guide to define the toe cap. Next, measure 3.5 cm to the left and place a pin (A). Repeat the same to the right (B). Thread the macramé yarn onto a tapestry needle and make a blanket stitch on side A and then on side B. There should be 10 (12) blanket stitches on each side as shown in the image.

(20, 24) FINISHING: For added security, reinforce the work to the soles with the tails we left at the beginning and end. The sandal will be snug, but will stretch with use. Ankle Strap: 2.5 cm from the end of the upper, embroider a blanket stitch on each side of the sole to crochet a strap that wraps around the ankle. Ch 36. (40), adjust to the opposite side and return with Sl St. Fasten off. HOW TO MAKE THE BLANKET STITCH? It is embroidered from left to right, inserting the needle from bottom to top and placing the thread behind the needle as shown in the image. It is a simple stitch, but the stitches must be regular.
