FINAL RESULT

PATTERN
Preparation of accessories:
– Pom-poms: with the small pom-pom maker (3.5 cm diameter), make 22 pom-poms of varied colors using Rubí Dreamer and Rubí Dreamer Multicolor yarn. With the large machine (6 cm diameter), make 6 pom-poms. To make them fluffier, round them with scissors. NOTE: We will leave the thread used to tie the large pom-poms (Perlé Oro) uncut so that they can be easily tied and attached to the base of our pajaki. For the small ones, we will cut the thread.
– Tassels: to make the tassels, create a 10x14 cm hard cardboard base that will serve as a template. We will make 6 with Rubí Dreamer and Rubí Dreamer Multicolor yarn and another 6 with Rubí Bambú Zen. These last 6 will be trimmed 1-2 centimeters shorter to make them smaller. To make the two long ones, we will use another template about 30 cm long; one will be made only of Rubí Bambú Zen and the other will be a mix of Rubí Dreamer and Rubí Bambú Zen. We have used Perlé Oro thread to tie them.
– Embroidery hoop: we will divide the embroidery hoop into 6 sections and mark them with a pencil to make it easier to prepare the pajaki structure later.
– Structure: to make the structure, we will cut 3 pieces of Rubí Trendy Home 90 cm long and 12 pieces 30 cm long. The long pieces and 6 of the short pieces will form the basic structure of our pajaki.
1º. We place our pieces of Rubí Trendy Home to make the pajaki structure. To do this, we take the wooden ring and tie the 3 long pieces, folded in half, with a lark's head knot. We will tie each end to the embroidery hoop where we have our pencil mark.
Then, we will tie 6 small pieces at the same points and these to each other at the bottom with Perlé Oro thread. We do the same at the top, tying with Perlé Oro thread just below the knots so that the structure does not open or slip. NOTE: To ensure the structure is level and horizontal, you can either hang it from the ring or have someone help you while tying the Rubí Trendy Home to the embroidery hoop. We will tighten one thread more than another to ensure it is perfectly level.
2º. We now have the basic structure, and we will begin to decorate it. From each knot on the embroidery hoop, we tie the remaining 6 small pieces, forming small arches where we will later tie the tassels made with Rubí Dreamer in the center of these arches.
3º. We tie the large pom-poms to each of the knots on the embroidery hoop to cover them. Once tied, we will secure them with a little hot glue.
4º. Now it's time to hot glue the small pom-poms to the upper structure of the pajaki. A trick is to open the pom-pom until you can see (or almost see) the tying thread, and that's where we put the dot of hot glue so that once it's glued to the Rubí Trendy Home, it won't be visible, as we will cover the glue with the pom-pom yarn. That is, we open the pom-pom, apply glue, place the Rubí Trendy Home, and close the pom-pom. Repeat with each of the small pom-poms. We should have 3 on each side, and we will have 4 small pom-poms left over to place later.
5º. To hang the Rubí Bambú Zen pom-poms from the large pom-poms, we will use a needle to pass through the pom-pom from bottom to top and tie them.
6º. We also hang the other tassels. The small Rubí Dreamer tassels from the arches created with Rubí Trendy Home that we mentioned before, we tie them right in the middle. We will hang the two long ones, one inside the pajaki, just below the lark's head knots, and the other at the bottom end of the pajaki, right at the junction of the Rubí Trendy Home threads of the lower structure.
7º. To cover the junctions, we will place the remaining pom-poms with hot glue. 3 on the top, covering the lark's head knots of the wooden ring, and one on the bottom, covering the junction of the lower threads of the structure.
And now our Pajaki is finished and ready to hang.
