For size 2 years
Back
All in garter stitch.
Cast on 78 sts. At 31 cm, shape the armhole – decrease 2-1 on both sides. After 2 rows, start the cables. On the wrong side row, make 4 garter stitches (these will always be garter stitch), then 6 purl stitches. Then 20 garter stitches (these will also not change) and now repeat the previous operation. 6 purl stitches, take out 10 stitches, and another 6 purl stitches. Work 2 rows, and on the next row, cross the first three stitches over the next 3 stitches, and immediately, without separation, make the other cable and the 20 central stitches. Then, make the other two cables.
After five cable crossings (approx. 15 cm), shape the neck and shoulders. For the neck: bind off the 8 central stitches and then 6 stitches on each side. And for the shoulders, bind off 8-8.
Fronts
Cast on 55 sts. Work the same as the back, but ending with the 20 central stitches.
This is the part that crosses over the other front, and on one of them, the buttonholes will be made.
On the fronts, the stitches taken out in the separator will be 16 stitches.
The shoulder shaping is the same as the back, but for the neckline, first bind off 17 stitches and then 3 stitches.
Sleeves
Cast on 30 sts.
The sleeve up to the armhole will be 20 cm. Along the sleeve, increase 4 stitches on each side, evenly distributed (approx. every 8 rows). Begin shaping the sleeve cap by decreasing 2 stitches on each side. Follow with 8 stitches, 1 by 1.
Then, 3 stitches on each side and 4 stitches on each side. And finally, bind off all remaining stitches.
The stitches we have in the separators are sewn together tightly and we sew them (on the wrong side of the work) to the cables of each group.
Sew the sides and shoulders and sew the sleeves, adapting them to the armhole openings.
Hood
Cast on 82 sts. When you reach 20 cm, bind off 10 sts on each side, then 10 sts and 10 sts, and then all remaining stitches.
Fold the strip and sew along the closed part. The other part is gathered a little to adapt it to the neck opening.
Finally, sew 6 buttons on the front as shown in the photo.
