MATERIALS
For the Mr. Rabbit Booties, we will use Rubí Soft Mohair Col. 009 (Grey): 2 balls (approx. 150g); Rubí Natural Medium for embroidery: approx. 1g of Col. 006 (Light Pink) and approx. 2g of Col. 030 (Black); 6 mm crochet hook; Plastic tapestry needle; Grey felt; 2 white pom-poms 2 cm in diameter; Grey sewing thread and sewing needle; Scissors.

SIZE 4-5 years (shoe size 30): 15 cm high x 8.3 cm wide x 18 cm long (not counting the ears)
· Crochet each piece as indicated by the pattern, taking into account the stitch abbreviations and the yarn used.
· All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral, unless otherwise indicated.
· Join the pieces as explained in the assembly instructions and enjoy adding details.

HOW TO MAKE THE RICE STITCH
The Rice Stitch is a textured stitch that consists of making one single crochet and one double crochet across the row, and in the next row, reversing them: where there was a single crochet, you will work a double crochet, and where there was a double crochet, you will work a single crochet.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Both booties are crocheted the same except for the sole:
LEFT SOLE (X1):
Work on both sides of the initial chain strip, always in a spiral.
R1: 13 Ch (13 sts.)
R2: Start in the 2nd ch from the hook: 11 Sc + [3 Sc] + 10 Sc + [2 Sc] (26 sts.)
R3: 6 Sc + 3 Hdc + 1 Dc + [2 Dc] + [2 Dc] + [3Dc]+ [2 Dc] + [2 Dc] + 1 Dc + 3 Hdc + 6 Sc + 1 Inc (33 sts.)

R1: In Back Loop Only: 1 Sc in each st (51 sts.)
R2: (1 Sc + 1 Dc) *repeat around (51 sts.)
R3: (1 Dc + 1 Sc) *repeat around (51 sts.)
R4: (1 Sc + 1 Dc) *repeat around (51 sts.)
R5: (1 Dc + 1 Sc) *repeat around (51 sts.)
R6: (1 Sc + 1 Dc) *repeat for 19 sts + 6 Dec + (1 Dc + 1 Sc) *repeat for 20 sts (45 sts.)
Do not cut.
We will divide the foot into two pieces: the leg and the instep, and we will work each of them separately.
LEG (x1):
Continue crocheting from the Foot.
To form the leg of the boot, crochet 14 sts from the start of the row, make 1 ch, and join to work in the last 14, dividing the foot.
R1: (1 Dc + 1 Sc)*repeat for 14 sts + 1 Ch + join with St 32 + (1 Sc + 1 Dc)* repeat for 14 sts (29 sts.)
R2: (1 Sc + 1 Dc) *repeat around (including the ch of R1) (29 sts.)
R3, R5, R7 and R9: (1 Dc + 1 Sc) *repeat around (29 sts.)
R4, R6, R8 and R10: (1 Sc + 1 Dc) *repeat around (29 sts.)
Sl st to join.
Cut and fasten off.
INSTEP (X1):
Attach yarn in St 14 of R6 of the foot:
R1: (1 Sc + 1 Dc)*repeat for 6 sts + 3 dec + (1 Sc + 1 Dc)* repeat for 6 sts (15 sts.)
Cut, leaving a long tail for sewing later. Using a zigzag stitch, sew the two parts together to close the instep. Fasten off.
EARS (X2):
Work on both sides of the initial chain strip:
R1: 7 Ch (7 sts.)
R2: Start in the 2nd ch from the hook: 3 Sc + 1 Hdc + 1 Dc + [4 Dc] + 1Dc + 1 Hdc + 3 Sc (14 sts.)
Cut, leaving a long tail for sewing later. Gently stuff to shape them.
ASSEMBLY OF THE PIECES:
1) Sew the ears to the top of the booties with 4 stitches of space between them.
2) Sew the white pom-poms to the back of the booties with grey thread and a sewing needle.
3) Embroider the U-shaped eyes with three eyelashes using Natural Medium Col. 030 black, and the nose with several stitches using Natural Medium Col. 006 Light Pink.
4) With the help of the template, cut 2 pieces of grey felt to make the protective soles.
5) Sew the felt soles to the crocheted soles with grey thread and a sewing needle using a blanket stitch.
