STEP BY STEP

Sandal

SOLE

Crochet the sole with two strands of color 015 and a size 3 crochet hook.

Chain 17.

rnd 1: ch 1, crochet 16 sc (1 sc in each ch), crochet 3 sc in the last ch, turn work and crochet 16 sc (1 sc in each ch), crochet 2 sc in the last ch, close rnd with 1 sl st

rnds 2-6: ch 1, crochet 1 sc in each sc of the previous rnd, crocheting 3 sc in the sc at the ends of the previous rnd, close rnds with 1 sl st

rnd 7: ch 1, crochet 1 sc in each sc of the previous rnd, crocheting 4 sc in the sc at the ends of the previous rnd, close rnds with 1 sl st

Make one more rnd, crocheting 1 sc in each sc of the previous rnd.

This reaches 11 cm long x 8 cm wide.

HEEL

Crochet the heel with one strand of color 002 and a size 2 crochet hook. Crochet 26 sc around one of the ends of the sole, 1 sc in each sc of the sole's edge at that end.

We will crochet back and forth for 12 rounds. In the last round, increase at the end by chaining 25 for the closure strap. The last 11 chains correspond to the buttonhole, so on the return round, we will crochet 1 sc in each chain starting from the 11th chain from the end: 14 sc for the strap plus the 26 sc for the heel.

Crochet one more round.

For the other sandal, crochet the same way, but chain 25 at the other end.

INSTEP

For the strap that will cover the front of the foot, we use color 002 and a size 2 crochet hook. We will make a strip of 9 stitches and 28 rows (approximately 9 cm). We gather it in the center, as seen in the photo, and secure it with blue thread, like a bow.

Chain 4 with color 002 and a size 2 crochet hook and crochet sc for as many rounds as necessary until you have a 4cm strip. Crochet 3 more strips in the same way.

FINISHING

Sew the bow-shaped instep strap by its ends to the edge of the sole. Sew 2 straps from the edge of the heel to the bow-shaped instep strap on each side of the sandal. (See photo for strap placement).

Crochet with color 002 and a size 2 crochet hook one round of sc around the entire edge of the sole.

Weave in ends and sew on buttons.
