Bag with leather handle

MATERIALS

To make the bag with a leather handle, we will use Rubí Natural Batik color 003 (4 balls); size 3 knitting needles; and a tapestry needle.

Cast on 98 sts in relief stitch, which is worked as follows:

Row 1: K1, bring yarn forward, knit 3 sts, and pass the first stitch over the other two.

Bring yarn forward again, knit 3 sts, and pass the first stitch over the other two. Repeat this until the end.

Row 2: on the wrong side of the work. Purl all stitches.

Row 3: Do not work the first solitary stitch, but start with the 3 sts and the previous operations.

Row 5: work the first stitch alone, and then the groups of three.

When you have worked 75 cm, bind off all stitches.

Once the knitted part of the bag is finished, we will need to line it. To do this, we will make a fabric rectangle of the same height and width. On one side, we will add a small pocket and sew the sides.

Then, sew the sides of the knitted piece, insert the lining, and join them by sewing along the top edge.

Finally, to close the bag, we will make a braid with waxed thread, 1.20 cm long, and add two end caps to each end. And to hang it, we will add a long leather handle of 75 cm.
