HOW TO MAKE THE DIAMOND SHAWL?
PATTERN
In this shawl, you will use different stitches that we will alternate. There are three phases that you will have to carry out:
– We will start with the raised stitch with color change.
– We will continue with the diamond stitch in a single color.
– Finally, we will make the triangle stitch with lace in the remaining color.
For all this, I will provide you with sample charts and the number of repetitions for each type of stitch. You also have an explanatory video to support the chart and the crafting tips.
The measurements of this shawl are:
– 73 cm from the start to the point
– 130 cm from tip to tip.
If you are going to use another type of yarn, take into account the yardage of the yarns I have used. If you want to make it larger, you just need to do more rounds of each block or the block you like best.
I advise you to crochet loosely, do not pull tight.
FIRST BLOCK

As you can see in the chart*, you start with a magic ring with 3 ch and 5 dc in one color, and you change the color at the end to continue on the second row. In the second row, you begin to incorporate the raised double crochet stitch, which is made with the other color, meaning you will alternate the yarns to make the raised stitches in one color and the rest in another.
This block consists of continuously repeating rows 2 and 3, paying special attention to where to include the raised double crochet stitches, as in the second row they go at the beginning in the 2nd stitch and in the third row they go in the 3rd stitch.
The raised double crochet stitch will always be placed just before the peak's gap. In total, you need to complete 25 rows, finishing with a row similar to row 3, that is, with 3 chain stitches to start and 2 double crochet stitches at the beginning, and 3 double crochet stitches at the end, all in the same color.
In the video, you can see how I perform the color changes and where I make the raised double crochet stitches.

SECOND BLOCK
In this second block you will make the diamond stitch. You can see how it's done in the chart and the video.
You start with 3 chain stitches and within the first stitch, you will make 2 double crochet stitches, you have to skip two stitches and in the third, you make 3 double crochet stitches within the same stitch, and so on until you reach the peak. Once you reach the peak, you will see that you only have one stitch left, skip it and make 2 double crochet stitches within the peak, 3 chain stitches and 2 more double crochet stitches. Skip one stitch again and in the second, you make 3 double crochet stitches together, now skip two stitches and in the third, you make 3 double crochet stitches together until you reach the end, where you will make the 3 double crochet stitches within the beginning chain stitches.
You will begin the next row, as always, with 3 starting chains, but you will need to add two more chains for separation and then work 3 double crochets together, taking the 3 double crochets from the previous row. Continue with two chains and three double crochets together until you reach the peak. Once at the peak, make the two separating chains and go directly into the space to make two double crochets, 3 chains, and two double crochets. Repeat everything again to finish this row.
You have to make a total of 15 rows in the same way, the last row should be the same as 26.
THIRD BLOCK
In this last block you will make the triangle stitch with edging.
To begin, make 4 chain stitches and then a treble crochet between the blocks of 3 stitches. Next, 3 chain stitches for separation and another treble crochet in the same space. Now you will make the picot edge; make 3 chain stitches and close them together at the end of that last treble crochet. Repeat the same sequence until you reach the peak.
Once at the peak, skip the two double crochet stitches and make two treble crochet stitches within the peak, 3 chain stitches and 2 treble crochet stitches. You will continue making the same type of stitch, only now you will make the picot on the first treble crochet. You will see it more clearly in the video and chart.
This type of row is only done 3 times in total.
Here is the Own Style Diy channel, where you can find videos with different types of stitches.
Once you have fastened off the threads, you can add fringes to all the edgings, or if you prefer, just add three tassels to each peak. That is up to you.
