Cloud smile baby mobile

MATERIALS

To make the cloud smile baby mobile, we will use Rubí Bambino yarn color 006 (1 skein), 009 (1 skein), 010 (1 skein), 001 (2 skeins), size 3 knitting needles, a tapestry needle, cotton, and foam rubber.

Cloud

Since our baby mobile is an asymmetrical cloud, we recommend making a pattern for the outline and using it as a guide for increases and decreases. It should be approximately 39x30 cm, and we will make two identical parts.

In the seam, we will insert the braid to hang the baby mobile and the stars.

Before sewing the two parts of the cloud, we will stuff it with foam rubber.

Finally, we will add a fun touch by decorating the cloud with a little face for which we will make 2 crochet circles in slip stitch, 4 cm in diameter; a backstitch for the mouth using red perlé thread, and 2 black buttons for the eyes.

Stars

Cast on 11 sts.

1st row: knit 2 sts, bring the yarn up to the end of the row.

2nd row: knit all sts.

3rd row: knit 3 sts, bring the yarn up to the end in the same way.

Repeat this on the right-side rows of the work, increasing one stitch, which corresponds to the eyelets in the center of the star.

Once you reach 6 eyelets or increases in each line (there are 5), finish the 5 points separately.

Each one begins with 8 sts for the first 4 plain rows, and then decrease 1 st at the beginning of each row until 1 st remains. Then pick up the next 8 sts and do the same, continuing until all 5 points are finished.

Make 2 stars of each color to join them later and stuff with cotton.
