Girl's spring dress 2 years
We continue to create the wardrobe for the little ones using our most delicate and pleasant qualities, following patterns as sweet as this spring dress.
MATERIALS:
- Egyptian Cotton col. 003 – 2 skeins
- Knitting needle No. 2
- Tapestry needle
- 5 Buttons
- 50 cm. of fabric for the skirt

FINAL RESULT:

PATTERN:
Front Bodice
Cast on 86 sts. knit 6 rows in garter stitch, then stockinette stitch – every 7 rows make eyelets, by yarn over and knitting 2 sts together. Repeat this every 8 sts until the end of the row.
After 7 rows, make another row of eyelets, staggering them with the previous ones.
At 4 cm from the beginning, shape the armhole by binding off 4 sts and continue with the raglan decreasing 22 sts on each side (1 by 1). When 3 sts remain to be decreased to finish the 22 sts, shape the neck by binding off 12 central sts, then 6 sts, and then 4 sts.
Back
Cast on 47 sts. and everything else is the same as the front, except for the armhole where 8 sts are bound off instead of 4, and no neck shaping is done; it is bound off straight.
The other back piece is made the same way, but in reverse.
Sleeve
Cast on 58 sts. knit 6 rows in garter stitch and in the next row increase 26 sts evenly distributed. At 5 cm from the beginning, bind off 4 sts on both sides and 23 sts (1 by 1), then bind off the remaining sts at once.
Assembly and Finishing
Sew the side seams and the sleeve seams, and sew the sleeves to the body.
Along the back opening, pick up the necessary stitches to make each closure placket. On one side, make the buttonholes.
For the neck opening, do the same: pick up sts and knit 5 rows in garter stitch.
The skirt is 31 cm long and the hem is made with a double lace trim (see photo).
