HOW TO KNIT THE PATTERN?
STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch: on right-side rows, all stitches are knitted; on wrong-side rows, all stitches are purled.
Garter stitch: all stitches are knitted.
1x1 Rib stitch: knit 1 stitch, purl 1 stitch, repeating the sequence across the right-side row. On the wrong-side row, knit the stitches as they appear.

PLAIN OPTION
FRONT PART
We begin knitting from the bottom of the garment.
Cast on 38 sts.
Knit for 14 rows in stockinette stitch with 3 sts in garter stitch at each end, to form the edge of the panty in the leg opening.
We begin to knit increases on each side of the garment on right-side rows:
Right-side rows: knit 3 sts, yarn over, knit all stitches until the last 3 stitches, yarn over, knit 3 sts.
Wrong-side rows: knit 3 sts, purl all stitches and yarn overs until the last 3 stitches, knit 3 sts.
Knit right-side and wrong-side rows a total of 15 times (15 increases on each side of the garment). We will have 68 sts.
In the next right-side row, cast on 6 sts at the beginning of the row and knit all stitches. In the next wrong-side row, cast on 6 sts at the beginning of the row, knit these 6 sts, purl 68 sts, and knit the last 6 sts. We will have 80 sts.
Knit 4 more rows in stockinette stitch with the 6 stitches at each end of the garment in garter stitch.
Then, knit in stockinette stitch with all stitches, for approximately 7cm.
In the next right-side row, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 4 cm.
Bind off all stitches as they appear.
BACK PART
Pick up the 38 sts from the bottom edge of the front piece on the right side of the work.
We begin to knit increases on right-side rows:
Right-side rows: knit 3 sts, yarn over, knit all stitches until the last 3 stitches, yarn over, knit 3 sts.
Wrong-side rows: knit 3 sts, purl all stitches and yarn overs until the last 3 stitches, knit 3 sts.
Knit right-side and wrong-side rows a total of 21 times (21 increases on each side of the garment). We will have 80 sts.
Knit 4 rows in stockinette stitch with a 3-stitch garter stitch border at each end.
Then, knit all stitches in stockinette stitch for approximately 7cm.
In the next right-side row, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 4 cm.
Bind off all stitches as they appear.
Sew the sides of the panty joining the front and back. Fold the top of the elastic and sew it on the wrong side of the garment. Insert elastic thread through the folded waistband.
On the back of the swimsuit, you can embroider any design you wish with perlé thread of another color.
STRIPED OPTION WITH BUTTONS
FRONT
We begin knitting from the bottom of the garment.
Knit by changing color every 6 rows and carrying the thread so you don't have to cut it with each color change.
Cast on 38 sts with white color.
Knit for 6cm in stockinette stitch with 4 sts in garter stitch at each end, to form the edge of the panty in the leg opening. (Remember to alternate colors every 6 rows).
We begin to knit increases on each side of the garment on right-side rows:
Right-side rows: knit 4 sts, inc, knit all stitches until the last 5 stitches, inc, knit 4 sts.
Wrong-side rows: knit 4 sts, purl all stitches until the last 4 stitches, knit 4 sts.
Knit right-side and wrong-side rows a total of 15 times (15 increases on each side of the garment). We will have 68 sts.
In the next right-side row, cast on 6 sts at the beginning of the row and knit all stitches. In the next wrong-side row, cast on 6 sts at the beginning of the row, knit these 6 sts plus the next 4 sts, purl 60 sts, and knit the last 10 sts. We will have 80 sts.
Knit 4 more rows in stockinette stitch with the 10 stitches at each end of the garment in garter stitch.
Then, knit in stockinette stitch with the 6 sts at each end of the garment in garter stitch, for approximately 6cm, knitting the buttonholes when appropriate. We will knit 1 buttonhole at each end of the garment 6 sts from the edge at 2cm and at 6cm.
Buttonholes are knitted, at the beginning of the right-side row: knit 6 sts, yarn over, k2tog; and at the end of the right-side row: k2tog, yarn over, knit 6 sts.
After knitting 6cm, in the next right-side row, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 2 cm. Bind off all stitches.
BACK PART
Pick up the 38 sts from the bottom edge of the front piece on the right side of the work in blue. (Remember to change color every 6 rows).
We begin to knit increases on right-side rows:
Right-side rows: knit 4 sts, inc, knit all stitches until the last 5 stitches, inc, knit 4 sts.
Wrong-side rows: knit 4 sts, purl all stitches until the last 4 stitches, knit 4 sts.
Knit right-side and wrong-side rows a total of 21 times (21 increases on each side of the garment). We will have 80 sts.
In the next right-side row, cast on 4 sts at the beginning of the row and knit all stitches. In the next wrong-side row, cast on 4 sts at the beginning of the row, knit these 4 sts plus the next 4 sts, purl 64 sts, and knit the last 8 sts.
Then, knit in stockinette stitch with the 8 sts at each end of the garment in garter stitch, for approximately 6cm.
After knitting 6cm, in the next right-side row, knit in 1x1 rib stitch for 2 cm. Bind off all stitches.
Sew the sides of the garment joining the front and back. Sew the buttons, embroider the desired detail on the bottom of the swimsuit, and insert the elastic into the waistband.
FINAL RESULT
