MATERIALS

*Rubí Handy Cotton color 900 (2 balls), color 101 (2 balls), and color 700 (1 ball).
*Crochet hook size 3.
*26 cm zipper.
*White and black thread.
*Yarn needle.

STITCHES USED:

-Ch: chain.
-Sl st: slip stitch.
-St: stitch.

-R: round / Rnds: rounds.

-Dec: decrease.
-Blkt st: blanket stitch.
-MR: magic ring.

INSTRUCTIONS

R.1: Make 56ch.
R.2-23: With Rubí Handy Cotton color 101, make 56sl st.
R.24: Make 7sl st and start the ear of 14sl st (base). To make the ear, make 7rnds of sl st, and in each of them dec. 1st at the beginning of the rnd until 1st remains (ear tip). Cut thread.
Next, knot the thread at the base of the ear and make 16sl st. Continue with sl st for the other ear in the same way as the previous one (14sl st). Again, cut the thread and knot at the base of the 2nd ear. Finish with 5 sl st.
Make another identical piece but in color 900.

FINISHING

Embroider the cat's eyes and nose with black thread.
For the cheeks with color 700, make a MR starting with 6sl st until reaching 4cm in diameter. Make 2 identical cheeks.
Sew the zipper to the top edge with white thread.
Join the two parts and with Rubí Handy Cotton color 900 black, make a round of blkt st (see photo).
This way we will decorate the cover and give it a touch of color.
Finally, make a crochet embellishment to hang from the zipper; we have made a crochet ball.
